Volbeat is a multi-platinum Danish rock band whose sound weds hard rock, classic metal, glam, punk, and rockabilly. Inspired by legendary performing and recording artists including Elvis Presley and Johnny Cash.
Volbeat was founded by former Dominus leader Michael Poulsen in October of 2001. Their first official release was 'The Strength/The Sound/The Songs' which won a handful of awards, including Best Album at the Danish Metal Musik Awards in 2005. All of their studio albums have been certified gold in Denmark.
